The first years of life lay the foundations for all that is yet to come. With this in mind, we carefully follow and support your child’s development, with admiration for every step, big and small.
We believe in the benefits of healthy food, lots of movement, and time spent outdoors. That’s why each Day Care location has a chef who prepares organic warm meals and snacks.
With our extra services, we make your life as easy as possible. Meals and nappies? They’re provided at the location. Need extra childcare for a day? Just let us know and we’ll check availability.

Many children who join us speak a language other than English at home. At Basker International Childcare, we understand the added value that a bilingual or multilingual upbringing can offer, and we ensure that we support the language development of all children in our care. Whether your child will attend a local Dutch school or experience an international education, spending time in an English-speaking environment during their developmental years can provide many advantages.
Through our programmes, we explore the world together. Our philosophy promotes a positive growth and development pathway. Learning and educational experiences are created through play-way learning and a themed approach. A detailed monthly, weekly and daily programme structure covers visual arts, music, science and creativity, language development, gross and fine motor skills.

It's time for breakfast. For example we eat wheat porridge with fruit, fruit pancakes, homemade flatbread or carrot bread. Jummy!
We enjoy stories, songs, numbers, the alphabet, and creative activities together.
Painting, music, games, science, colouring, cutting & pasting, or numbers. The youngest children have a little nap.
We go outside to build sandcastles, hunt for ants, play tag, or ride bikes.
Through our Basker Parent App, we send a photo to show your parents how much fun you’re having.
At lunch we eat a warm meal, such as pasta, potatoes with vegetables or quinoa with chicken. We talk and listen to each other. A fun and educational moment!
We have an afternoon nap, read a book, or enjoy some free play.
We eat for example homemade pear tart, rice pudding with coconut milk, oat and blueberry muffins or avocado banana mash.
We get creative or dance, indoors or outdoors.
We go outside to run and play, go off the slide, or practice our balancing skills.
We discover, create, and explore through painting, science, and crafts.
After a light snack, it's time for a calmer moment. We read stories or play a game.
We eat another snack, such as vegetables or fruit and play some more.
After a wonderful day, you're being picked up again. So glad you were here!
In practice, we find that most children quickly adjust to the group routine. This pattern is never forced; rather, it creates a comforting rhythm that children adapt to when they feel at home in our care.
We’re happy to make time for you as a parent. From personal chats at drop-off and pick-up to regular meetings with your child’s mentor, we value open communication and collaboration. For international families, we understand the unique challenges that come with an internationally transient lifestyle.
You’d like some insight into your child’s experiences at Day Care. That’s why we share photos and stories through the Basker Parent App. Here, you can also take care of practical matters such as reporting absences or requesting extra days, and stay up to date with the latest news from your location.
What happens during an introduction meeting? How does the settling-in period work? What does your child need on their first day? A spare set of clothes, a labelled bottle, a cuddly toy that smells like home. We answer all your questions and ensure a smooth, happy start for both your child and you.
We offer attendance patterns ranging from one to five days per week. Through the Dutch Childcare Allowance (or kinderopvangtoeslag), the Dutch tax authorities reimburse a substantial portion of childcare costs when both parents (or a single parent) are working or studying.
