We are here to support your family

Childcare means collaboration

At Basker International Childcare, formerly known as Zein International Childcare, we believe that growing and developing is best done together. For us, childcare means working in partnership during the most important years of your child’s life. That is why we gladly make time for your child and for you. Below, we explain how we create a collaborative relationship with the parents of the children attending our childcare locations.

A warm welcome

Starting day care, pre-school or after school and holiday care for the first time is a big step, both for your child and for you. We are here to help ensure a smooth and happy transition.

  • Introductory meeting: Before the ‘big day’ we meet with you to understand your child’s needs, share tips and answer any questions.
  • Settling-in sessions: Settling in is something we do together, step by step. We schedule sessions to gradually help your child feel at ease in their new environment.

Personal attention

You know your child best, which is why we find open communication with parents important. Our pedagogical professionals guide your child’s development, keep you informed and share in your pride at the progress they make. Both big and small steps are celebrated.

Did you know that children respond more strongly to familiar voices, which leads to increased brain activity? This shows how important trusted, familiar faces are. For this reason, we place so much value on having regular childcare professionals in each group. We learned this and more at the UNESCO & Babilou Family Neuroscience Congress.

Support for international families

At Basker International Childcare, we recognise and work with the particular challenges and opportunities that leading an internationally transient lifestyle can bring. Multilingual households, parents on extended leaves of absence abroad, a lack of extended family members living nearby, the emotional strain of saying goodbye to homes and friends and setting up again are all issues which our international families face every day. Through workshops, our staff is trained to understand and successfully support these unique challenges to help ensure the positives of an international lifestyle outweigh the negatives.

Additional care days and absences

  • Need an extra day of childcare?
You can easily request an additional day through the Parent App. If a place is available on your chosen day, it will be reserved for your child.
  • Going on holiday?
If you notify us of your child’s absence in advance, you will receive a credit of up to 77 hours per child to use in the coming period.

Parent Committee: your voice matters

At Basker International Childcare, we believe in the value of collaboration. As a parent, your insights and experiences are invaluable in helping us maintain high quality standards. Through the Parent Committee, parents contribute ideas on topics such as nutrition, pedagogy and safety. Would you like to be involved? Simply let your location manager know!
