Holiday Camps

Basker Holiday Camps, formerly known as Zein Holiday Camps, offers full-day activity programmes for children aged 4 to 12 during the school holidays of international and Dutch schools in The Hague. The programmes are tailored to different age groups and each holiday brings a wide variety of exciting options. Outdoor sports, creative activities, games, field trips and more. There is something for every child, whatever their interests.

Summer Camps '26 programme

With eight different themed and multi-activity camps, we can virtually guarantee you will find something to suit your child. Whether your child is a sports enthusiast, can’t keep away from the kitchen, has an artistic mind or loves building constructions with LEGO… There’s something that will suit them!

Camps run from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:30, between 1 July to 28 August, across three The Hague locations. Children are grouped according to their age to ensure the programme is challenging from the age of 4 until 12.

The daily routine of Basker Holiday Camps

Welcome at Holiday Camps

Please come in! You can arrive from 08.00am, but we ask that all children are with us no later than 09:30 so we can get started with the day. Breakfast is served!

Let’s get started!

We kick things off with a team building activity so we can get to know each other. Then we split into groups and pick what we want to do for the day, there’s lots to choose from!

Activity time

Time to dive into the activity of choice, indoors or outdoors. We’ll be honing skills, exploring techniques, working on projects, and having a blast along the way. And as a holiday bonus: twice a week the activity will involve a field trip!

Time for lunch

Lunch is prepared fresh by our staff – wholesome organic foods such as wraps, pasta, rice, cooked meats, cheese, fruits and vegetables are daily favourites. Bon appétit!

A small break

A moment for you to relax after lunch and engage in your choice of quiet activity, on your own or with friends. Younger children will have a longer period of free play.

Outdoor sports or team games

Time to come together and have some fun. A range of age-appropriate games and activities are played with the leaders taking part too. Let’s move!

End-of-day handover

The last children are picked-up, and staff prepare for another exciting day tomorrow. There will be lots of stories to share on the way home.

Registration & rates

We offer flexible camp attendance options, allowing you to book childcare during the school holidays as and when you need it! We do not require a minimum subscription, but bookings are made on an as needed basis and always for full days so that children can get to know each other and the group can mix together. We welcome campers from the age of four until they start secondary school.

As all camps are held at registered childcare locations, the Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) is available for most parents working or studying in the Netherlands irrespective of nationality.

Our Holiday Camps locations

At our six After School Care locations in The Hague region, we also provide a fun-filled environment for children during the school holidays. Each location is uniquely designed to cater to the diverse needs of the children, offering spacious play areas, engaging activities, and a dedicated team of caring pedagogic professionals. During the holidays, all locations are open for children of all international and Dutch schools.

A friendly and professional team

Our holiday camps are hosted by experienced childcare professionals who are fully qualified with extensive training in pedagogy and safety. This allows us to offer a wide variety of exciting options throughout the holidays, all featuring (outdoor) sports, crafts, games, field trips and creative activities.

English is the main language spoken, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible, and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child’s mother tongue.
