Welcome to Club Basker International, formerly known as Zein International Childcare. Here, every afternoon brings a new adventure! Our dedicated and well-qualified pedagogic professionals prepare a variety of activities and materials, allowing each child to choose what they'd like to do and discover. At Club Basker, your child will take part in experiences that aren’t usually on the agenda at home or at school! Always together with friends. So, who's ready to join the adventure?

All our After School Care services are organised through partnerships. Over the years, we have built strong, lasting collaborations with key international schools as well as several Dutch schools in The Hague region.

We currently provide After School Care at six locations across The Hague. Wherever possible, our facilities are based on school campuses or just a short distance away - ensuring a smooth transition from school to Club Basker International. The school your child attends, determines which After School Care location is available to them.

Discover Club Basker International Sport

At Club Basker International Sport, it’s all about staying active, having fun, and pushing limits with friends. From hockey and acrobatics to running and football, every six to seven weeks a different sport takes centre stage. Children can choose which activities they’d like to join. This is where action, energy and team spirit come together.

During the holidays we go big

During school holidays, we provide children of primary and junior school age with the ultimate holiday experience. Our fun-packed programmes run Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 18:30, throughout all holidays of various international and Dutch schools in The Hague. Each week includes one or two exciting outings.

A smooth start

The first day at Club Basker is a special moment. We help children settle in and explore their new surroundings, so they feel at ease in no time. If your child is moving on from day care or pre-school, we’ll talk through the transition together. If your child has just arrived from abroad, our team (many of whom have relocated themselves) will provide extra support.

Our Parent App

Parents receive daily updates about their child’s experiences and interactions at Club Basker International. These are shared in person at pick-up and online through our secure Parent App. The app makes it easy to view photos and diary updates, message the team, and arrange practical matters such as extra days or absences.

Children help shape their own adventures at Club Basker. Whether experimenting, baking, crafting, dancing, or playing sports, they can contribute their own ideas and decide on activities together. This creates a safe and familiar atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. After all, the best adventures are often the spontaneous ones!

Food and nutrition

Our team prepares fresh, nutritious food on-site every day. The menu includes organic fruits and vegetables, complemented with pasta, rice, bread, fish or meat. The children enjoy wholesome food and discover new tastes every day!

English and bilingual groups

Next to our English-speaking groups, the Estate and Willows locations offer bilingual (English–Dutch) groups. This meets the wishes of many international families, as well as Dutch families who value the benefits of a bilingual upbringing.

Cost calculation

We offer a full-service package that covers the entire year. Depending on their needs, families can choose an attendance pattern of one to five fixed days per week.

After School Care: from the end of the school day until 18:30
Holiday Care: from 08:00 until 18:30

Through the Dutch Childcare Allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag), the tax authorities reimburse a large part of the costs when both parents (or a single parent) are working or studying.
