Basker partnerships

At Basker International Childcare, formerly known as Zein International Childcare, we feel a strong sense of responsibility. As part of our commitment to contributing to a better world for future generations, we are a proud partner of organisations such as UNICEF and KiKa (childhood cancer research). These collaborations help us fulfil our mission. By joining forces, we can create greater impact. Together, we work towards a future in which every child has the chance to grow, learn and dream.

A heart for children worldwide

As a proud UNICEF Business Buddy, we are committed to supporting children in the poorest regions of the world. Through the ‘Climate-Smart Villages’ project in Madagascar, we help twenty vulnerable villages each year adapt to climate change. Together, we create sustainable facilities, stimulate the local economy and provide education. Children and their communities learn how to build a safe and sustainable living environment, while gaining the knowledge and resources they need to improve their world. Together, we are building a better future.

Childhood Cancer Research

Every year, children put on their aprons and bakers' hats for a very special cause. With great enthusiasm, they bake and sell biscuits and cakes to raise money for KiKa, the Dutch foundation dedicated to research into childhood cancer. The baking event is more than just fundraising: it teaches both children and colleagues to work together and achieve great things as a team. Together with our sister organisations Basker kinderopvang and BijdeHandjes christelijke kinderopvang, we raised an impressive €16,000. An achievement we are extremely proud of, and a valuable lesson in empathy and community spirit. Initiatives like these also give our childcare professionals an opportunity to discuss important topics such as illness with children in an age-appropriate way. In september, our number of our colleagues also participated in a Mud Run for KiKa raising another €16,000.

Making a difference at Basker International Childcare

At Basker International Childcare, we believe that giving every child an equal start contributes to a better future. Every action, no matter how small, helps us move towards this mission. We are grateful for the support and involvement of children and parents. Everyone who joins our initiatives makes a difference.
