Stronger Together

At Basker, we see you, the parent, and ourselves as equal partners. We share the responsibility for the upbringing of your child. When questions arise or challenges appear in a child’s development, we believe that working together with you as a parent is essential. We involve you early on and always start a conversation. You are a vital partner when it comes to shaping the right support for your child. Every child is unique and requires an individualised approach. Maintaining open communication with you helps us to uncover what may be underlying certain behaviours. By offering tailored guidance for each case or situation, we are able to examine it from every angle.

Noticeable Behaviour

Every child occasionally displays hyperactive, quiet, or anxious behaviour. This is not necessarily a cause for concern, especially if the behaviour is linked to a particular developmental phase or a specific life event (such as a new sibling, moving house, or divorce). In these cases, the behaviour typically subsides once the situation stabilises or the child progresses through the developmental stage.

However, some children may continue to exhibit noticeable behaviour over an extended period without a clear cause, and this can be a source of concern.

It is also possible that a child behaves very differently at home than they do in our childcare setting. This is entirely natural, as the context is different. For example, there may not be a circle time at home, and the relationship between parent and child differs from that between child and pedagogical professional.

You are a key partner in shaping the right support for your child.

Care Protocol

Every child is unique and develops at their own pace. Along the way, certain concerns or challenges may arise that lead our pedagogical professionals to ask questions. These may become apparent through a child’s behaviour or their development.

To ensure each child’s development proceeds as smoothly as possible, it is vital that we identify challenges early and provide appropriate support. That is why we have developed a Care Protocol, outlining the steps our pedagogical professionals must take to best support the child, the family, the group, and themselves.

💡 As a parent, you can always find the Care Protocol in the Parent Portal.
